Wedding Photographer Recharge in New York City

Every so often it is important to recharge your creativity and keep up with new trends in the industry.  This past week was the bridal market in New York so I headed on down to check out all of the new designs and get a feel for what is next is bridal fashion.

I stayed at the London NYC where some designers were showing their work. (Beautiful rooms and easy access to designers.)  Classic shapes and lace were featured heavily in many new collections.  But just because it is classic does not mean it is stuffy.  Modern seaming and details really added a fresh look to familiar silhouettes.

I was right down 54th Street from MoMA and spent some time gathering inspiration while taking in several new exhibits.  The light and bright spaces of the Museum of Modern Art are always a joy.  They frequently feature the work of photographers in inventive and exciting ways.  My favorite gallery space of the day featured a body of photographic work that was presented in photo albums suspended from the ceiling.  A fun nod to photography suspending time and spaces.

I rounded out my trip by meeting up with friends who are artists and are constantly pushing creativity in new directions.  We had a great meal while we talked and they showed me their latest gallery show.  A perfect trip to gather inspiration and keep ahead of what is next. – Jennifer
