My Top 5 Tropical Island Shoots of the Decade, #1: Trunk Bay

This fun and adventurous couple held their destination wedding on what is widely regarded to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Trunk Bay. I chose this wedding as my wedding photographer favorite because of the incredible natural surroundings. Breathtaking mountain views surrounded the beach where they said their vows and each vista was better to photograph than the last.

This couple decided to eschew the standard resort destination wedding and embraced the local island lifestyle. A serious of houses were rented for all of their guests to stay in and the entire wedding weekend was spent checking out favorite local spots. Even their choice of florals was all locally grown on the island.
The ceremony was held right on the beach with close family and friends surrounding the couple. There was not another soul on the beach while we captured all of the wedding portraits following the vows. The beach was completely pristine and the newlywed couple’s footprints were the only ones to be found.

A relaxed reception dinner was held in a local restaurant housed in a gorgeous historic stone building. The celebration continued as the guests walked to the local village and enjoyed a fun night of island style partying. The whole weekend was amazing and I loved taking pictures while they made me a part of the entire experience.
